Every Jimny build tells a story — the choices, the compromises, the trails it was made for. We want to feature yours. Submitting your build to Compact Conqueror puts it in front of a global community of Jimny enthusiasts, celebrates your work, and helps the next owner planning a similar setup. Here’s how to submit, and what makes a great feature.
Why Submit Your Build?
- Get your Jimny featured in front of the global Compact Conqueror community
- Inspire and help others — your choices guide the next owner planning a similar build
- Celebrate your work — builds represent real time, money and care; they deserve to be seen
- Connect with the community — featured builders often spark conversations, questions and friendships
- Document your journey — a feature is a great record of where your build is at this moment in time
Every Jimny is a little different, and that’s the whole point. Your build might be exactly the inspiration the next owner is searching for.

What We’re Looking For
We feature builds of every kind — there’s no minimum bar of modification or budget. A tasteful daily driver is as welcome as a full overland rig. What makes a great feature is the story and the detail:
| Build Type | What Makes It Interesting |
|---|---|
| Daily drivers | Smart, tasteful, livable setups that work every day |
| Weekend warriors | The classic capable build — relatable and aspirational |
| Overland rigs | Full self-sufficient expedition builds and their journeys |
| Restorations | SJ, Samurai and JB23 brought back to life |
| Budget builds | Clever, cost-effective setups that punch above their spend |
| Unique & unusual | Anything distinctive — a build with a story to tell |
How to Submit
Submitting is straightforward. Send us the following and we’ll be in touch:
- Your details — your name (or handle, if you prefer), location, and how you’d like to be credited
- Your Jimny’s details — model and generation (JB74, JB23, SJ, etc.), year, and trim
- The build story — what you set out to build and why, how it came together, the highlights and the lessons learned
- The modifications list — what you’ve done, ideally with the brands and (if you’re happy to share) approximate costs
- Photos — clear, well-lit photos of the build, ideally including detail shots and the Jimny in its element on a trail
- Where it’s been — the memorable trails and trips, which bring a build to life
Use the contact details on our community page to send your submission, or reach out via our channels. We review every submission and will let you know if we’d like to feature your build.
Tips for a Great Submission
- Good photos make the feature. Shoot in good light, clean the Jimny first, and include both full-vehicle shots and detail close-ups. Action shots on a trail are gold
- Tell the story, not just the spec. The “why” behind your choices is more interesting than a parts list alone
- Be honest about the lessons. What you’d do differently is often the most useful part for the next builder
- Include the journey. Where the build has taken you brings it to life — trails, trips, and memorable moments
- Credit your sources. The workshops, brands and community members who helped — the community appreciates the acknowledgement
A Note on What We Won’t Feature
To keep the community safe and credible, we don’t feature builds that are clearly unroadworthy or unsafe, modifications that are illegal in the builder’s jurisdiction, or content that misrepresents the work or the costs. We celebrate honest, real builds — at every level of budget and ambition.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I submit my Jimny build to Compact Conqueror?
Send us your details and preferred credit, your Jimny’s model, generation, year and trim, the build story (what you set out to do and why), a modifications list with brands and approximate costs if you’re happy to share, clear photos, and the trails the build has tackled. Use the contact details on our community page to submit. We review every submission and will be in touch if we’d like to feature your build.
Does my Jimny need to be heavily modified to be featured?
No. We feature builds of every kind — there is no minimum bar of modification or budget. A tasteful daily driver is as welcome as a full overland rig. What makes a great feature is the story and the detail behind the build, not the size of the spend. Budget builds and clever cost-effective setups are especially welcome.
What kind of photos do I need to submit my build?
Clear, well-lit photos make the feature. Clean your Jimny first, shoot in good light, and include both full-vehicle shots and detail close-ups of your favourite modifications. Action shots of the Jimny in its element on a trail are particularly valuable — they bring the build to life. Higher-resolution images are better for featuring.
Will I be credited if my build is featured?
Yes — you choose how you’d like to be credited, whether by your name, your community handle, or your social media. Featured builders are always credited, and we’re happy to link to your social presence if you’d like. Just let us know your preference when you submit.
What makes a great build submission?
The story, not just the spec. Tell us why you made your choices, how the build came together, and what you learned (including what you’d do differently). Include the journey — the trails and trips the build has tackled. Add good photos and credit the workshops, brands and people who helped. A build with an honest, well-told story is far more engaging than a bare parts list.
Are there builds you won’t feature?
To keep the community safe and credible, we don’t feature builds that are clearly unroadworthy or unsafe, modifications that are illegal in the builder’s jurisdiction, or submissions that misrepresent the work or costs. Beyond that, we celebrate honest, real builds at every level of budget and ambition — from stock-plus daily drivers to full overland rigs.
