The Owner

Tom needed a compact, frugal overlander that could carry days of supplies into remote desert without the bulk and thirst of a full-size 4×4.

Base Vehicle

JB74 5-door for the extra space, then kitted for self-sufficiency rather than extreme terrain.

  • Water and fuel storage

Power

  • Dual-battery system with DC-DC charger
  • Folding solar panel for camp

The Story

Nomad proves the Jimny’s overland case: sip fuel, park anywhere, and still carry a fridge, awning and days of supplies. The 5-door’s longer boot made the difference for multi-day trips.
