The Owner

Mia runs the Jimny as a dedicated trail toy alongside a normal family car, so it could be built harder without worrying about daily comfort.

Base Vehicle

2020 JB74 auto, chosen for relaxed low-speed crawling, then lifted and shod for serious terrain.

The Build

Suspension

  • 40 mm coil lift with matched shocks
  • Extended brake lines and diff breathers

Wheels & Tyres

  • 235/75 R15 mud-terrains on steel wheels
  • Rear ladder + spare relocation

Protection

  • Full skid-plate set
  • Heavy-duty rock sliders
  • Rear recovery point

The Story

With the auto’s smooth power delivery, the lift and grippier rubber, Trailhead crawls the Victorian high country with surprising composure. Mia’s done most of the work in her own garage.

Next up: a winch-capable bumper and an onboard air system.
